Cable Frequently Asked Questions
Is my complex wired for Cable?
My question still hasn't been answered.
A: Cable Internet is a form of broadband Internet access that uses cable infrastructure. Like digital subscriber lines and fiber optic networks, Cable Internet bridges the last kilometre or mile from the Internet provider to the subscriber. Unlike DSL that uses the existing telephone network, Cable Internet runs off dedicated network infrastructure.

Q: How does Cable Internet work?
A: For the setup, we run lines of fiber optics under the ground that are then divided out to sub stations. From these sub stations they connect to a main hub outside the home or complex, then through the wall into the home and are terminated to a wall box.
An Ethernet cord is then plugged into the wall box and into either a single connected computer or a router / switch / wireless access point for further distribution of the traffic.
